kicad-doc-fr software package provides Kicad help files (French), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kicad-doc-fr
kicad-doc-fr is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kicad-doc-fr package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kicad-doc-fr *
You will get with kicad-doc-fr package name, version, architecture and description in a table
